There will be a total of 37 Cup cars and 39 Xfinity cars participating in the historic event in Mexico City. The Xfinity field, typically limited to 38 grid spots, has been expanded to 40 for this unique occasion, allowing all listed entrants to compete.
The Cup field comprises the standard 36 cars with regular full-time drivers and one open entry, the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports Chevrolet, with Katherine Legge driving. Notable Xfinity participants include Cup drivers looking to gain more road course experience.
Mexican NASCAR talent Daniel Suarez will pilot the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, alongside other notable drivers like Ty Gibbs and Christopher Bell representing Joe Gibbs Racing in Toyotas. Another Mexican-born driver, Andres Perez De Lara, will make his Xfinity debut in the No. 91 DGM Racing Chevrolet.
The entry list for the NASCAR Cup features a range of renowned drivers, including heavyweights like Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and Chase Elliott. The Xfinity lineup is no less impressive, with names like Austin Dillon, Justin Allgaier, and Carson Kvapil set to showcase their skills on the track in Mexico City.
